An ideal stopping point for journeys through Scotland, our friendly Moffat Club Site lies in the stunning Scottish Lowlands.

Despite being just three minutes from the M74, the pretty Victorian spa town of Moffat is much more than just a pit stop. With 180 pitches, this well-laid-out campsite boasts well-placed facilities.

Surrounded by magnificent scenery, Moffat Club Site is located in a wide-open valley.

Just a five-minute walk from the campsite, Moffat boasts one of the broadest high streets in Scotland. Take some time to find the fountain topped by the statue of Colvin Ram, the famous Moffat Toffee Shop and the Star Hotel – appearing in the Guinness Book of Records as the narrowest hotel in the world. On a Friday, Moffat hosts a weekly market and a monthly producer’s market.

Nearby, Station Park offers a variety of attractions including a boating lake and gardens. In October, the town holds an annual walking festival, and from the campsite, you can access some of the finest hill-walking in south Scotland.

Located close to the campsite, Grey Mare’s Tail is a magnificent waterfall dropping over 200 feet from Loch Skene.

There are several historic houses and castles in the area, including Drumlan Rig Castle near Thornhill. Surrounded by magnificent landscaped gardens, this castle is Scotland’s oldest inhabited house and contains artwork by Rembrandt and Da Vinci.

Located close to Dumfries, Caerlaverock Castle is a moated medieval fortress overlooking the Solway Firth.
