Festival Of Photography
At the Festival of Photography Meet we will be holding our Festival Print Competition (previously known as Inter-Unit Competition). This competition is open to all members who are camping and will then be judged by our fellow campers. The winner will be the print which gains the most points overall. Every member camping over the weekend can enter up to 3 prints and these Prints should be a minimum of A4 and maximum of A3 and mounted for ease of display. Each print will be numbered with a corner number cut from old envelopes. (Any envelope corners which can be donated will be greatly appreciated) Please title your print with a label across the bottom right hand corner. Judging will be on a slip of paper on which you will record your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice and points will be awarded as follows. Please do not vote for your own print. 1st = 3 points, 2nd = 2 points and 3rd 1 point. There will also be a chance to vote for your favourite “Camping Picture” and “Humorous” picture from these prints. Prints will be displayed on both Saturday and Sunday for judging and the winner announced during the evening on Sunday. All prints must be handed to Jim or myself by 10a.m. on Saturday morning and judging will be from 11a.m.
Postcard Competition. This will be a chance for you to design your own postcard. All entries should be presented on a piece of paper measuring either 6 inches x 4 inches or 7 inches x 5 inches and consist of multiple images up to a maximum of 5. A maximum of 3 entries per person. All postcards to be given to Fred or Jim by 10a.m. on Saturday morning. Competition will be judged by members.
First meet of the season!
What a great meet in such a great location! Our first meet of the season has come and gone with a fully booked site. We had great weather for the 5 days and along with Delamere Forrest right on the doorstep of the vans there were loads of interesting places to visit.
Staff at the site were all very welcoming and friendly and facilities always clean and tidy. A photo walk, led by Mick in the Forrest was great fun and informative. The Saturday evening speaker, Ian was amazing.
Pictures will be in the gallery soon, watch this space!

A massive thank you and congratulations to Helen and Fred for putting it all together, and for gathering a team at the meet to help with making sure all went to plan. Help Required
The group has two important roles to fill due the present members retirement from the posts
The first is Regalia Officer this involves looking after the Regalia stock placing orders with the supplier as and when items are ordered by members. Gwen our present officer takes items to meets for pick up. Now we have a new website this process can be done by mailing out to the customerfor a charge.
The second is for someone to take over from Stuart booking and arranging speakers fot the summer meets. This involves working with the meets team, looking up speakers using PAGB handbook.
Sending booking requests and follow up confirmations. Also booking speakers for the winter Zoom sessions.
Both these are interesting and important roles. Stuart and Gwen will initially be on hand to assist as will all the Council team.
Any questions or interest please send us a message in the contact Page tab
