2016 is the 80th Anniversary of the Photographic Group

- See Information page.

We are campers with an interest in and enthusiasm for photography.

Photographic Group Members are welcome to join in any of the Group's activities, whether you are a `happy snapper', an advanced photographer, or a family member.

The Photographic Group would be keen to hear from any CCC District Associations or Special Interest Groups that may wish to organise a joint meet. Contact

As our membership is country wide, we try and spread our meets around different areas of the UK. A meet is normally for 5 days but sometimes we have longer temporary holiday sites. Members are free to attend for the full time or as many days as they wish. The programme at our meets is arranged by the meet stewards and may include items such as talks, an AV, DPI or print show, discussion, instruction or demonstration sessions, social events, competitions to cater for levels of photography and age range of members. More detailed information on meets will appear in `Photocamper', on the MEETS page and `Out and About'. We know that attending your first meet can be daunting but we will do our best to ensure that you receive a warm welcome. We normally hold a daily coffee morning and evening get together so bring any photos, queries etc you may have; there will always be opportunities to discuss them.

The Exhibition is held during the August Bank Holiday Meet and is open to all Photo Group members with a special section for children. A copy of the rules for entry and entry form are included in an issue of ‘Photocamper’ about 6 months prior to the exhibition and is available on the website via the MEETS page.

(see FOLIOS page)

Groups of the two types, 'colour print' and 'monochrome print' have between five & ten members to each folio. The prints may be home or trade processed. Comments are made on each new entry, and marks given for those in the commented packet. The postal costs involved in sending the pouch to the next member are the responsibility of the sender. The frequency of receiving any one folio is variable, but typically 2 to 4 times a year. A member may take part in more than one folio, by arrangement with the folio secretary. There is also a 'small print swap shop' which operates broadly as above but with prints not exceeding 7x5 inches and no marking.
