Stoke Gabriel Meet - 22nd April to 4th May 2010
This 12 day meet proved very popular and 37 units attended.
The 4 stewards worked very hard, ensuring programmes of interest were organised
for every evening by 'volunteers' from the group.
Barry Parkes showed his LRPS panel and some superb landscapes, Francis Spooner
his shots of Venice and portraits and various members shared their digital
images and AV's.
Thanks to all who contributed to a varied programme.
We crammed into the gazebos most evenings, but fortunately we were able to have
coffee mornings outside and availed ourselves of Debbie and Doug's awning in the
evenings.
Lifts to the hall were well organised and gratefully accepted.
The weather was superb and everyone took advantage to explore
the coast, scenery and attractions in the locality.
The impromptu 40's 'fashion show caused some hilarity, with the paparazzi out in
full force, who knows what images will arise from that.
I understand that some of us were not instantly recognisable! (Ed)
We hope the new members enjoyed their time with us and look
forward to their company in the future.
Thanks again to Debbie and Doug foe being such excellent support stewards and to
Jan and Christopher for manfully stepping into the breach to take on the
stewarding of this meet.
We hope their house move goes well and is not too stressful.
